Get In Touch

Our lab is led by Holly Witteman, Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Emergency Medicine. Dr. Witteman’s training was in human factors engineering (PhD, University of Toronto) and decision sciences (postdoc, University of Michigan). Lab members have backgrounds in design, programming, and social sciences. Current trainees study in epidemiology, public health, and educational technology. Our program focuses on 2 main lines of research:

  • Human-centered/user-centered design methods
  • Digital media and other interactive media for health education and decision making

We are always happy to hear from motivated students who are interested in seeing if our lab might be the right place for them. A few things to keep in mind: We’re an interdisciplinary lab but everyone has a background in at least one relevant discipline (public health, health services research, human factors engineering, design, user experience, web development). Université Laval is a francophone institution.
