Hina Hakim is a research associate with an Honours PhD in Community Health from Laval University. Her PhD research focused on methods to convey the concept of herd immunity to members of the public through visualization. Using an iterative approach she developed a dynamic visualization of herd immunity, assessed cognitive and emotional responses to the visualization, and evaluated its effects in a randomized controlled trial.
She has contributed her expertise to projects at Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).

- risk communication and numeracy
- public health
